Redfish Bite is Red Hot
Redfish in the Tampa Bay are HUNGRY! In the next couple of months as the temperature starts to drop redfish will be even more active and plentiful! They put up a good fight and photograph beautifully

Site casting fish with soft plastics and other artificial baits is one of my favorite ways to target fish in the Tampa Bay! The inshore fishing remains hot from the upper Tampa Bay all the way to Anna Maria Island Florida. With the water temperature finally cooling off a little, the Redfish are starting to push back onto the flats and group together in their schools. I am also transitioning from targeting Snook on the beach to searching for them around the mangroves again. This year has been great for big snook as I have caught a record number of fish over 40 inches and have caught a lot of 30-35 inch class fish in the mix.
